Ray Banks is the President if the Delaware Bees Association and he has adopted us!!!

Ray came to visit our hives and “check on the girls”. I put on my full bee suit and watched as he opened the hives to see how they were doing. In Hive 1, Ray checked on the Queen to make sure she made it out of the Queen box into the hive, and it appeared that she did. He also checked the frames to make sure things were buzzing along. He brought some pro-biotics. Ray had me measure out a teaspoon and dump them (powder form) on each frame. He then put the lid back on Hive 1. Ray also checked out Hive 2, took a quick peep to make sure they were busy and they seemed to be fine, as well. Ray will be back in two weeks. When he returns, we will check each frame to see if the queen is laying eggs and check the overall health of the hiveS. When we open the hives, the bees buzz around so it’s important to ensure we have our honey bee suits on!
